Henkel, a global market leader in Adhesive Technologies and leading consumer goods company in Beauty Care and Laundry & Home Care, has appointed Mr. Lucky Lee as President of Henkel Indonesia effective from March 1, 2017. In this role, Lucky legally represents the company and is the spokesperson for Henkel’s business and operations in the country. Concurrently, Lucky is the Head of Adhesive Technologies for Indonesia and based in Jakarta.
Lucky has more than 21 years of experiences in the adhesives industry, where he has held various leadership positions in sales, marketing, business development and business transformation. From 2010 to 2016, Lucky was based at Henkel’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Shanghai as the Head of Asia-Pacific for the Paper Solutions and Furniture and Building Components steering units in Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies business unit. Lucky was instrumental in developing a strong team for the region and driving the profitable growth of these business segments.
Before his posting to Shanghai, Lucky was the steering unit head of Industrial Adhesives in Indonesia. In this role, he helped strengthen the sales and technical customer service team in Henkel Indonesia. Notably, Lucky was a key member of the integration team in Indonesia that contributed to Henkel’s successful acquisition of the adhesives business from National Starch and Chemical in 2008.
Lucky graduated from Tarumanagara University Jakarta, majoring in Business Administration.

Established since 1974, Henkel Indonesia is an important emerging market for Henkel. Its smart factories in Pasuruan and Tangerang are strategically located to serve customers across East and West Java as well as in the surrounding area.

With 50,000 employees globally, Henkel reported sales of 18.7 billion euros in 2016. Of this, emerging markets generated 7.8 billion euros and strong organic growth of 6.8 percent. The Adhesive Technologies business unit generated sales of around 9 billion euros, which represented solid organic sales growth of 2.8 percent in fiscal 2016. As a market leader in adhesive technologies, the business unit continued to strengthen its innovation leadership with an innovation rate of around 30 percent1.
